我們回來了！
2023年全城期待素食盛會將於國內外社交平台開通
過去幾年疫情之前，世界各地所舉辦的素食嘉年華（Vegan Festival 或 Vegfest）活動，留下了一幕幕熱鬧而歡樂的場景。闊別三年後，我們又再與草地陽光見面。而且蛻變成為首屆大灣區素食文化節。
公益團隊默默耕耘
香港素食嘉年華（Hong Kong Vegfest）為環保素食活動，經過近十年的努力，也得到本地政府環保部門的嘉許，成為綠色戶外活動之一；獲嘉許的綠色戶外活動來頭真不小，都是一年一度的大型活動，有香港國際七人欖球賽，維多利亞公園的花展等。與大型機構不同的是，我們沒有源源不絕的經費，每年的經費都出自志願人士，由義工組織參與，能得到這個成績，不得不讚歎我們的環保團隊!
再者，香港素食嘉年華被 Lonely Planet《孤獨星球》評為 “全球十大蔬食節” (Top Ten Vegan Festival) 中的第八名。在亞太區則排名第二，僅次於日本東京。Lonely Planet 已售出超過 1.45 億本旅遊指南，而這本純素旅行手冊，是他們首次以純素食為主題的一本旅行手冊，向純素食者推介世界各地不錯的地方和活動。
在 Lonely Planet 出版的純素旅行手冊中第 45 頁，介紹了香港素食嘉年華 Hong Kong Vegfest：
“在十月份，為期一天嘉年華免費入場，香港人會以所有純素食品慶祝。素食嘉年華由志願者組織，設有 70 多個銷售攤位提供純素食產品、健康檢查、烹飪示範、純素服裝等。甚至還有一個動物造型舞臺、和一個地方出租可重複使用的食具。www.vegfest.hk”

“The People of Hong Kong celebrate all things vegan at this one-day free carnival in October. Run by volunteers, it features more than 70 outlets offering vegan products, health checks, cooking demonstrations, cruelty-free clothing and more. Hong Kong Vegfest 2019 was granted the title "Green Outdoor Event" under the "Green Outdoor Event Commendation Scheme", jointly organised by the Environmental Campaign Committee and the Environmental Protection Department, to commend the Hong Kong Vegan Association’s green efforts in organising outdoor events.
香港素食嘉年華 2019 年成為環保署環保運動委員會舉辦的「綠色戶外活動計劃」下的「綠色戶外」活動，以表揚香港蔬食協會在舉辦綠色活動所付出的努力。
